THE AUSTRALIAN RIDE-ON LAWN MOWER RACING ASSOCIATION
IS PROUD TO BRING YOU THE

When:         Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of May 2009
Where:         Dubbo Showgrounds, Dubbo NSW

We are very pleased to announce and invite you all to be a part of the first ever Lawn Mower Racing Nationals in Australia. This will be a part of the Dubbo show and it will sure be a sight to behold. Never before have all the clubs of Australia, united together and raced. We all share a common interest, although mowers may be different in construction, when the lights go green. The racing begins!!!

With the significant difference in mower construction, we will be running qualifying to sort out the entire field. This will ensure that you are placed fairly in the bunch. All mowers must follow thier relevant clubs rules and regulations regarding the setup of their respective mowers. If a mower is allowed to race in your club, then it will be allowed to race at Dubbo.

There are however certain rules that will not be negotiated. A functioning kill switch must be operating on your mower. It must have functioning brakes, no sharp protrusions from your mower. Proper attire must be worn. Long sleeve tops, either Moto-x jerseys and pants or long sleeve overalls. With sturdy steel capped boots. A full faced (Approved to Australian Standards) Helmet and gloves.

The times have changed somewhat since the inception of this race.

We have secured an alternate venue for the early morning sessions of this race. We will be moving to the main arena for the afternoon sessions. This will not be a big deal but will give us optimum time to race and have a sucessfull race meeting.

Times are as follows

Now that the dust has finally settled, let me start on saying how much a success this event was. This was many years in the making, from just a thought back in 2005 to racing now......
AROLMRA, along with Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Brisbane and Nowra clubs all have thier own history, thier own future.....and thier own identity.
This race was not to erase this, but to enrich it, by introducing everyone who was involved to a new way of thinking. That this sport is bigger than just your respective club.
This sport can be as big as we want it to get. Still accessable to everyone. And most importantly a family sport with "safety" the first priority, and "fun" the second.

After the final race has been run and won, after the grass has started to grow again on the Dubbo track.

Remember. It was here in 2009 that we made history.

I hope there will be many more "National" races to come.
